We're being asked to create a new lens of leadership, culture, and ways of working as teams and as leaders. Because the old ways are no longer effective. Stress is a badge of honour these days. To be busy is to be important. It means we’re doing something of impact, or is it?
The reactive cycles of responding, doing, and replying are weighing on us more than ever before.
We’re at a breaking point which means many of us have to choose differently. I believe that the great leaders of today need to master their awareness and strategies so that they can:
1. Understand what healthy stress feels like, what they did to get there and how they can maintain it.
2. Be clear on the signs, symptoms and indicators that they are moving into unhealthy stress.
3. Have a go-to-plan to support them in re-regulating, moving additional cortisol through the body to return to their optimum state.
4. Understand chronic stressors at work.
